Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 9, 2026 Last updated: June 9, 2026

RankCommander Inc. ("RankCommander," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at rankcommander.com and provides AI-powered SEO and search visibility services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account and contact information. When you register for an account or submit your email to receive a report, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name and professional details.

Domain data you submit. When you use the Service to analyze a domain, we collect the domain name you enter. This domain may belong to you, your clients, or a competitor. We do not collect or store patient data, customer data, or any personal information belonging to the users of the websites you submit for analysis.

Payment information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or billing details on our servers. We receive a tokenized reference and basic billing information (name, billing address, last four digits of card) for account management purposes.

Communications. If you contact us by email or through our support channels, we retain the content of your communications and your contact details.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage data. When you visit rankcommander.com or use the Service, we automatically collect information including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and actions taken within the Service.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns. See Section 7 (Cookies) for details.

Log data. Our servers automatically record information when you use the Service, including your IP address, access times, pages viewed, and any errors encountered.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

To provide AI visibility scores and SEO analysis, we query third-party data sources, APIs, and AI platform interfaces, among other services. We receive data back about the domain you submitted — not about you personally. We do not receive or store personal information from these third parties about individuals.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide and operate the Service. This includes processing domain analysis requests, generating reports, delivering results to your email, and maintaining your account.

To communicate with you. We send transactional emails (report delivery, account confirmations, password resets), weekly digest emails if you are subscribed, and product update notifications. You may opt out of non-transactional communications at any time.

To send marketing communications. If you have submitted your email to receive a free report or created an account, we may send you information about features, plans, and relevant content. You may unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us at privacy@rankcommander.com.

To improve the Service. We analyze usage patterns, error reports, and aggregate data to improve the functionality, performance, and content of the Service.

To detect and prevent fraud and abuse. We use technical and administrative measures to protect the Service against unauthorized access, abuse, and fraudulent activity.

To comply with legal obligations. We may process your information as required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

For legitimate business interests. We may use your information to protect our rights, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share information in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers. We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service, including cloud infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics providers, among other services. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Data sources for analysis. When you submit a domain for analysis, we submit that domain name (not your personal information) to third-party data APIs. These queries are domain lookups, not personal data transfers.

Business transfers. If RankCommander is acquired, merged, or undergoes a change of control, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify users via email and a notice on rankcommander.com before any such transfer and before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

With your consent. We may share your information for any other purpose with your prior consent.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

Contractual necessity. Processing necessary to perform the contract with you — providing the Service, delivering reports, managing your account, and processing payments.

Legitimate interests. Processing necessary for our legitimate business interests, including improving the Service, preventing fraud, and communicating about related services — where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent. Where we rely on consent (such as marketing emails), you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Legal obligation. Processing necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
